Travel is priceless:
It gives you an education that you can't get to any college.
It gives you experiences, insight, and memories that will enrich your life beyond measure.

It increases your creativity by installing in mind that 'your way', the way you've been taught, and the way everyone at home does it' is far from being 'the only way' and quite likely not the best way' either.
This makes you more resourceful by forcing you to adapt to unfamiliar people and situations.
However notice, all this is only true if you travel separately and having an open mind.
You might find some rest and recreation from that kind of excursion, a momentary change of speed, or any 'eye candy' from sightseeing. Nothing wrong with that at all, but you won't receive the life-changing benefits that I'm referring to that manner.
Do it together with your great friends who are of a like mind do it with your relatives Best Family Vacation only if they're drama-free and open to this type of travel (otherwise it will be a nightmare). And if you choose a package tour make certain it's one that highlights the real experience of where you are going. Ultimately, if at all possible, travel when you're young. Do not wait until you are retired, as many do. That way you are able to take all of the insight you'll get in your experiences and apply it to your career and daily life. You will certainly not regret that.
